We’ve started our Pilates Instructor Training program at Pilates Native and need practice clients to work with. We have 120 training hours that we need to fill and we’d love to work with as many real-life bodies as possible. If you’re interested, read on for how you can participate and get private Pilates sessions for $25/session. We also have room for additional trainees if you know anyone interested in Pilates Instructor training. We do offer a rolling registration and scholarships! Thanks in advance for your help! Rubecca |
How it works |
The Practice Pilates Sessions will be in 2 different formats: 1) The instructor will use you and your specific movement patterns as a model to teach the various Pilates exercises, how they apply to specific populations, modifications, variations and all of that good stuff. These types of training sessions will always include the instructor, the trainee and you, the client. You can expect these type of sessions to proceed like a learning module where you are the model. 2) Your session will be taught by our trainee. They will practice teaching what they’ve learned and how to apply it. While the trainee is learning new material and getting comfortable with the sessions, an instructor will be on hand to provide support for these sessions. As the trainees progress in the program, they will start to provide these sessions solo in a more traditional Pilates environment. |
How do I sign up? |
If you’d like to be a practice client, please start by signing up for a “Practice Client Initial Assessment”. You may need to make a client account to utilize 10to8, which is our booking software. It should prompt you with how to do so if that is required. if you’ve already done an Initial Assessment with us, this isn’t required unless it’s been longer than 6 months since your last one. |

The Initial Assessment is the 1st step in our training process. We’ll go over your posture, balance, core strength and range of motion. From there, trainees will learn how to tailor sessions to client needs and use this information to create a comprehensive Pilates training plan for clients. After signing up for your Initial Assessment, you can add on as many “Practice Client” sessions as you’d like. Ideally, we’d like folks to commit to an Initial Assessment + 6 Pilates sessions. You can add the “Practice Client Pilates Sessions” to your IA signup or you can sign up for those separately. Things to know: |
Instructor training sessions are $25 per session and are only accessible by booking through this email. You are welcome to forward this info to friends/family that may be interested in the program. Initial Assessments, Pilates and Stretch Therapy are all available at our regular rates with our certified instructors as well. Please note: ONLY the Instructor Training practice client sessions will be available at the $25 rate and these sessions WILL NOT include Stretch Therapy. All sessions are pre-pay and require a 24-hr cancellation notice to avoid our 100% cancellation fee. Depending on the lesson, your sessions may include standing Pilates, reformer, Cadillac, chair, barre or spine arc. Ideally, we’d like folks to commit to an Initial Assessment + 6 Pilates sessions. If you can only do a couple, that’s ok too. But 6+ is our goal so we can see how bodies progress, change and develop with a consistent Pilates practice. My dog, Roscoe, is a frequent visitor at the studio. Please let me know if you have allergies to dogs prior to your session. You can do up to 2 sessions per week. I wouldn’t recommend more than that right now, as the work we are doing is very specific to you and your needs. |
What do I need to bring/wear? |
Clothing: comfy clothes that allow you to move while protecting your modesty (think yoga pants and a tank)Clean Socks: Grip socks are preferred, but normal clean socks ok if you don’t have grip socks.Water |
What if I’m pregnant, injured, have herniated disks, etc? |
As long as you have your doctors ok to start a Pilates program, we are good to proceed. Please do not register if your doctor or PT has not given you the green light for a Pilates practice. Thank you! |
What if I’m a current client? Can I participate? |
Yes! Current clients can add on a practice client session to their packages. Please note: these sessions will not include Stretch Therapy and will be training modules rather than the sessions you’re used to. These will not take the place of your current sessions and may not be at the same level as your current sessions. |
Thank you! Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions/concerns/can’t figure out how to book/can’t find a time that works. |
